2010 Opportunities

We have been praying and working toward sending teams to Europe, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and India. Our teams will be working side by side with existing ministries primarily by performing, leading worship sets, training worship leaders. Music is our main ministry tool, but our final goal is developing relationships with other musicians and encouraging their relationships with God.

Because some locations are a little more sensitive to missionary activity, we won't be posting the specific countries on our website. Please contact josie@worshipfoundations.com to ask for a list of host countries. The details will vary for each team, but they will most likely be between middle of June and middle of August. Costs for each project vary depending on length of trip and location. We've posted a minimum (2 weeks) to maximum (6 weeks) range. Please see the bottom of this page for more information.

China

This beautiful city along the SE coast of the Yellow Sea is known for being a modern coastal Ecocity with Golden Beach, Natural Arboretum, and Water Sports. Unlike most smaller cities, this one has a district called “University Town,” where seven colleges and universities cluster with a student population over seventy thousand. They are so eager to meet with foreign friends like you to share fellowship and build long-term relationships. We have an open door for bringing in a choir, orchestra/band or other talented musicians to do concerts at local universities, in outdoor parks/beach and other public venues. Also, short music skills teaching/training sessions can be arranged, as well as leading musical activities for the youth summer camps.

SE Asia 1

In a closed communist nation that is landlocked, it has also been spiritually landlocked for years. Music is breaking the locks and young people are coming to know the Lord because of music in this country. A team is needed to come encourage young men and women in the Lord to use their musical talents for the Lord. Our goal this summer is widespread use of music in this country for the purposes of pre-evangelism and evangelism. Young people need to be rained in the art of worship, as well. Would you pray and ask the Lord if he is sending you to this creative access nation in Southeast Asia?

SE Asia 2

Malaysia is home to 650,000 students from around the world. Students study in Malaysia from many countries that are "closed" to the good news. Come and help share with both local and international students the message of Jesus through music. Build lasting relationships that could have eternal significance.

Spain

Our church building is in the heart of Puerto Banus with it's beautiful beaches, upscale stores, fashionable restaurants, nightclubs, and thousands of youngn people from over 150 nations bent on having a good time during the summer! We have converted our building into a coffee shop, which also serves as a "Christian" nightclub and community hangout. If you are a Christian musician, you will be using your talents to the MAX! Your mission will be to reach out to these young people in the most creative way you can through music and friendship evangelism. You will be responsible for using our venue to put together a late night hangout/nightclub for these thousands of young people who pass by your buildilng everyday.

India

As the urban population of India increases exponentially, the harvest also grows quickly! Come join a multiplying music ministry that ministers outwardly through mainstream public performance venues (e.g. coffee shops and pubs) as well as within the Body of Christ. Use your musical gifts and worship leading experience to share Christ, minister to youth, participate in community projects, train worship leaders, and generally get a front row seat to see what God is doing to expand His Kingdom in India.

Global Calling...Role...Strategy...
The calling God has placed on our lives as an organization and as musicians in reference to His global purposes is to impact culture by impacting those who increasingly and significantly impact culture in all parts of the world, especially national college musicians. The opportunity and stewardship responsibility we have to change cultures by reaching its college musicians and artists is immeasurable.

The strategy is for artists to develop relationships with local musicians through concerts, worship training sessions, and cultural exchange.  From these musical intersections, cross-cultural relationships are developed, national musicians are reached, culture is altered, and nations are changed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. We challenge you, as an artist, to be a part of impacting culture worldwide.

Cost Estimates

Each trip's cost will vary by length and location. Amounts will be published as they are available and be confirmed when we send out notifications. We encourage all participants to raise support, not only to help with the financial realities of this type of ministry but also to raise a network of prayer warriors.

Estimates include food, lodging, in-country travel and ministry expenses, training, visas, and int’l travel insurance.  They do not include immunizations or arbitrary spending overseas such as personal souvenirs and entertainment.  Usually team members are able to keep all overseas expenditures within the projected amount, but we are obviously not able to control how much is spent outside of food, lodging, and local travel.  Immunization costs will, of course, vary depending upon country and what you’ve already had.

Wednesday, June 23 to Tuesday, August 3: ministry dates and on-field debriefing*

Thursday, August 4 to Friday, August 5: re-entry and next steps preparation**

Saturday, August 6: return from Southern California to home**

*6 weeks of ministry overseas. May be adjusted to fit the team's and/or the host's availability.
